There is strong possibility that Nissan is wants to relaunch the Nissan and Datsun brand in Pakistan once again. The aim of the Nissan Motors is to gain the 10-15% of the Pakistani car market share in the next two years. Their target of the sales is around 50000 units every year. Ghandhara Nissan Ltd (GNL) is legally allowed to distribute and sell Nissan vehicles in Pakistan so Nissan is currently in talk with GNL.
Senior Executive Director Marketing and Sales, GNL, Muazzam Pervaiz Khan told to Dawn,
“Efforts are underway to initially assemble two brands at the company’s existing production facilities for which the company is expanding production capacity and investing in jigs, fixtures and tooling etc.”
To discuss the various aspects like product specs, price positioning, expected market growth and standardized localization so management meetings are underway. The Government of the Pakistan is trying to attract new investors and the country’s car market has huge potential, so the Nissan Motors wants to cash the opportunities.
GNL is also expecting to receive an investment of about Rupees 2 billion to rebuilt and boost for required infrastructure so that is true to say Nissan Considering to Makes Its Comeback in Pakistan Soon.Vehicles production would create a lot of the jobs opportunities and also will increase the foreign investment. Muazzam Pervaiz Khan also said that it depend on the new policies, incentives and law and order situation.
